Revel in your moment

for those who want to celebrate, not focus on a photoshoot

It's YOUR big day, make it one worth remembering.

I'll capture your wedding day,

no matter what it looks like

When you've already spent tens (if not hundreds) of hours planning your wedding, you shouldn't have to then spend hours away from your guests just to get incredible photos! You deserve photography that naturally fits into your wedding day around your priorities.

Hey! I'm Dan.

So, What's My Deal?

I'm your friendly neighborhood documentary-style wedding photographer! Though weddings aren't my only niche, they're my bread and butter. I've been working in the wedding industry since 2018 and I'm at my best when schedules are tight, wires are crossed, and plans aren't working out as intended. I'm known by my past clients for being a calm, warm presence they can take comfort knowing is handling their photography without missing a beat.

Hold Up.

What do you mean by Documentary-Style?

Images that capture

the emotions of the day

My belief is that an image is truly exceptional when it works as a time capsule for emotions. I want you, your family, and those who will come into your life to be able to feel what you felt on your wedding day just by looking through a photo album - and for that to last generations.

Compositions that make simple moments extraordinary

Composition (the way in which an image draws attention to different elements) takes practice. Composing shots in a lively, uncontrolled environment is even more challenging. A documentary approach means having the eye for sweet moments in the making and the quick thinking to find a composition that fits the scene, all in a matter of seconds.

Exposures that embrace the beauty of natural light & shadow

Life isn't perfectly lit, and neither is your wedding venue! While I do employ various portable light sources as necessary, modern cameras allow us to pull significant detail out of what previously would have been shadows too deep to perceive those same features. I've selected my kit around the same features preferred by news photographers and war correspondents so that the final image is closer to how our eyes naturally perceive light & darkness, no matter the setting.

Visually striking techniques that enhance your day,

not distract from it

Dedicating myself to documentary-style work doesn't mean I'm without an artistic bag of tricks to pull from. I love to use artificial light sources in all my work, whether it's an on-camera flash to capture the energy of the dance floor, a studio light tucked in a corner to brighten a dimly-lit cocktail hour while maintaining the vibes, or incorporating lens modifiers that allow me turn conventional wisdom on its head by framing my subjects against lights with a soft glow.

A final gallery that highlights the most important part of your relationship - your unique connection to each other and your loved ones

Your gallery won't (and shouldn't) be one big collection of you and your true love. If you've planned a wedding, or even an elopement with guests, the folks around you are there for a reason - you love them, and they love you! I'll be dedicated to also grabbing their laughs at the silly accidents of the day, the tears they can't hold in during your  vows, and the way they get down on the dancefloor. All the while, I'll be focused on the little looks you exchange and the stories they tell; the eyes are the window to the soul, after all.
