I approach party images in two ways:
Dramatic, No-Flash,
Grainy Black & White
Life magazine, anyone? As a documentary photographer, I often have clients ask me to avoid using flash as much as possible. Some folks just find the constant pops of light distracting or uncomfortable! While these exposures incorporate "flaws" (the noisy grain in the images), I've had many clients agree this style creates a timeless feel.

Direct Flash Shutter Drags
Odds are you've seen this style before but not known how it's achieved! I'll be right up in the middle of the dancefloor, with my camera and energy high, shaking my camera like there's no tomorrow. This is the perfect style if the part of your wedding you're most excited for is the dancefloor.
